TEMPO.COBanjarnegara - Ada beragam tradisi menyambut bulan puasa atau Ramadan di berbagai daerah. Pada suku Jawa misalnya, biasanya melakukan tradisi megengan dengan membuat kue apam untuk dibagikan kepada saudara dan tetangga menjelang Ramadan.
Di Desa Jalatunda, Kecamatan Mandiraja, Banjarnegara, Jawa Tengah, bukan tradisi megengan yang dikenal penduduk di sana, melainkan tenongan. Tradisi tenongan dilakukan dengan cara makan bersama di jalan desa.
"Ini merupakan tradisi warga Desa Jalatunda dan sudah dilakukan turun-temurun," kata Kepala Desa Jalatunda, Satam. Tenongan menjadi wujud ungkapan rasa syukur sekaligus memohon kedamaian pada Tuhan menjelang berakhirnya Bulan Rajab.
Tradisi tenongan biasanya dimulai dengan kerja bakti oleh kaum laki-laki. Adapun para perempuan di desa itu membuat kemudian membawa makanan yang dimasukkan ke dalam tempat makan bernama tenong. Tenong terbuat dari anyaman bambu seperti tampah dengan sisi yang lebih tinggi dan kuat serta dapat ditutup. Seusai kerja bakti, seluruh warga Desa Jalatunda berkumpul untuk doa bersama dilanjutkan makan-makan di jalan desa. "Tidak ada ritual khusus. Hanya doa bersama sesepuh desa, kemudian makan bareng," katanya.
