TOURISM
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TRAVELLING AND HOLIDAY
TRAVEL/TRAVELLING
Travel is the movement of people between relatively distant geographical location and can involve travel by foot, bicycle, train, boat, bus, airplane with or without luggage, and can be one way or round trip. Travel can also include relatively short stays between successive movements. Travel may be local, regional, national (domestic) or international. In some countries, non-local internal travel may require an internal passport, while international travel typically requires a passport and visa. A trip may also be part of a round-trip, which is a particular type of travel whereby a person moves from one location to another and returns.
HOLIDAY
A holiday is a day set aside by custom or by law on which normal activities, especially business or work, are suspended or reduced. Generally, holidays are intended to allow individuals to celebrate or commemorate an event or tradition of cultural or religious significance. Holidays may be designated by governments, religious institutions, or other groups or organizations. The degree to which normal activities are reduced by a holiday may depend on local laws, customs, the type of job being held or even personal choices.
The concept of holidays often originated in connection with religious observances. The intention of a holiday was typically to allow individuals to tend to religious duties associated with important dates on the calendar. In most modern societies, however, holidays serve as much of a recreational function as any other weekend days or activities.
In many societies there are important distinctions between holidays designated by governments and holidays designated by religious institutions. For example, in many predominantly Muslim nations, government-designed holidays may center on Muslim holidays, though non-Muslim may instead observe religious holidays associated with their faith.
This is the sort of a list of holiday in Indonesia:
So, that is it the difference between travelling and holiday. Furthermore, I will explain about the places I've visited. There are Benang Kelambu Waterfall at Lombok and Taman Mini Indonesia Indah at East Jakarta
THE PLACES I'VE VISITED
When I was holiday a year ago, I went to Lombok with my family. Lombok have a lot of a beautiful place. Especially Benang Kelambu waterfall. It is situated about 32 km from Mataram or about 1 hour with vehicle. From Mataram, you should go to Narmada City, Sedau, then you should head to east until you find Pancor Dau intersection. Turn to northeast until you find Teratak market intersection and go to the north. Make sure to ask the local people if you feel clueless because there is only one sign to reach the waterfall, or for your safety, you can ask a travel guide to guide you there.
Once you reach Benang Kelambu Waterfall, you will get mesmerized by
the waterfall, Instead of flowing through stones, the waterfall is
flowing through plants. The word “Kelambu” means curtain and
the plants are framing the waterfall just like a window and curtain.
There are six waterfall spots and two or them are stretching like a
curtain. Tony, a guide on Benang Kelambu Waterfall said that the water
flows through Benang Kelambu Waterfall and Setokel waterfall does not
pass any river. Since the water flows directly from the fountain, the
water is very clean, fresh and can be drunk directly.
If you want to feel amazed by the nature of lombok island, then you should visit Benang Kelambu. This waterfall might be the best waterfall in Indonesia and maybe in the whole world. There are so many waterfalls in Lombok, like one on the feet of Mount Rinjani. However, if you want to find a spectacular waterfall, then Benang Kelambu Waterfall is the best choice.

the last place was Taman Mini Indonesia Indah or TMII
I went to TMII when I was did my speaking assignment with my Friends. In TMII, there was so many synopsis of Indonesian culture such as rumah adat, Museum etc. I visited a Soldier Museum, when you entered the museum you must bought ticket it's only cost Rp. 4000 If I'm not mistaken. It had a mannequin with traditional war clothes from various province, replica of weapons and cannon.
